Grey Matter Data Inc. d/b/a Simply Cars ("Simply Cars") is committed to protecting the privacy rights of all our users. We will take every step to maintain the confidentiality of your personal information. This Privacy Policy applies to your use of the Simply Cars websites and applications (collectively the "Website"). This Privacy Policy governs Simply Cars collection, use and/or disclosure of your personal information.

Purposes

The Website is used by individuals like you who are interested in obtaining all types of vehicles. With your consent, Simply Cars will help you  by sharing your contact information (and other data) with dealer institutions in order to assist you in obtaining a vehicle (the “Services”).

Simply Cars is required to collect and use personal information in order to provide the Services, to administer and process customer surveys, special promotions and other marketing activities, as well as other internal administrative functions. Personal information can include:

• Your first and last name;
• Your address;
• Your telephone number;
• Your email address and postal code; and,
• Information about your employment status.

This information is integral to the provision of the Services. 

Usage Data

Your IP address, your computer's operating system, the browser type and language are automatically collected each time you use the Website. Moreover, the identity of the website you came from will also be collected, as will your web request, the date and time of your visit and the site pages visited. Other information such as your name, address, and e-mail address is collected in order to allow us to administer the Website, to identify and contact users, and to conduct Website maintenance. For audit and other internal and administrative purposes, Simply Cars may also keep a record of all information you contribute to the Website.

While Simply Cars will not conduct credit reports, it is possible that an automotive dealer or a financial institution may do so with your approval. 

Please note that once a user is contacted by an automotive dealer and/or financial institution any communications with that entity will be governed by their privacy policy, not this Privacy Policy. 

Simply Cars may also provide personal information to third parties who may provide services on Simply Cars behalf, such as responding to customer inquiries, processing data, conducting special promotions and marketing activities and other administrative functions. In all instances, Simply Cars will only provide personal information to third parties on an "as needed" basis and provided that such third parties agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy.

In the event of a transaction involving the sale of some or all of Simply Cars, personal information will generally be one of the transferred business assets. You acknowledge that such transfers may occur, and that any acquirer of Simply Cars may continue to use your personal information as set forth in this Privacy Policy.

Limits on Collecting, Using, Disclosing and Retaining Personal Information

Simply Cars limits the amount and type of personal information collected to what is necessary to meet the purposes described above. Simply Cars undertakes to keep all personal information it collects strictly confidential according to the terms of this Privacy Policy. Thereafter, all personal information that does not have a specific purpose or that no longer fulfills its intended purpose will be destroyed in a secure fashion.

Our Website may contain links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave the Website, Simply Cars has no control over, and cannot be responsible for the protection and/or privacy of any information that you provide while visiting other sites.

Simply Cars reserves the right to modify or supplement this Privacy Policy at any time. If we make a change to this Privacy Policy, we will post such changes on the Privacy Page of the Website. Simply Cars will obtain the necessary consents required under applicable privacy laws if it seeks to collect, use or disclose your personal information for purposes other than those to which consent has been obtained unless otherwise required or permitted by law.
